Phone: (734) 740-3239

I am the founder and president of Kershaw Legal Services, PLLC, which was established in 2007. As a life-long resident of Southeast Michigan, I am familiar with the unique needs of clients in Monroe County. As a resident of Carleton, I have been active in the community since moving here in 2006.

I graduated cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law. As a student at Ave Maria, I served as a senior editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and as President of the Ave Maria Criminal Justice Society. I also worked as a research assistant to an associate dean and a professor at Ave Maria. I have provided volunteer services to the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender in Ann Arbor and Christian Legal Aid in Detroit. I am also a youth leader and mentor for Middle School and High School aged students at Ignition Student Ministry, and I am a bass player for the Praise Team at NorthBrook Church in Carleton. My wife, Sarah, is the Worship Manager at NorthBrook. I am a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Monroe County Bar Association, the Monroe County Criminal Defense Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

I am committed to practicing law in a manner that is compassionate and respectful, yet powerful and effective. My unique approach to practice allows my clients to consider multiple options to achieve their immediate and long term legal goals. I make it a priority to listen carefully to each of my clients to ensure that I completely understand their needs and goals. In order to better serve my clients, I limit my practice to the areas of family law, criminal defense, estate planning, and elder law. If you have any legal questions regarding any of these areas, please call me directly at (734) 740-3239. I would be happy to answer your questions.
